Alex Wilson is responsible for CIBC Capital Market’s Corporate & Institutional Client
Business in Europe and the Middle East, managing a team and portfolio of clients
across Power, Energy, Infrastructure, Natural Resource & Financial Institutions sectors,
supporting clients with a broad array of project, acquisition & structured finance, as well
as growth capital / venture debt via CIBC Innovation Banking.
Alex is a seasoned Investment Banker with 20 years’ experience in London,
New York, Los Angeles and Toronto, advising corporate and institutional clients globally
on corporate development, capital & funding and risk management.
Mr. Wilson is a member of CIBC Capital Market’s Global Corporate Banking ExCo,
Global Loan Underwriting Committee, European ExCo and Global Diversity & Inclusion
Advisory Council. He is a mentor to various FinTech Accelerators in London, including
Techstars and an Angel Investor & Founder Advisor to Gatsby Digital Inc, a commission-free
social options trading platform and Spark Change, a technology platform that
simplifies investing in carbon. He speaks German.
